1. BOOKING & PAYMENT
How can I book?
You can book via Airbnb, VRBO, Micazu, Booking or directly through luzcolorcuracao.com. Booking directly through this website gives you the best price, as there are no platform service fees.
How does the payment process work?
This depends on how you book. If you book through Airbnb or VRBO, payment will be processed automatically via the platform. If you book directly through this website or Booking.com, you will receive an invoice from Daisy two weeks before arrival. The invoice will be in USD and can be paid via Stripe, which will automatically convert it to euros. Easy and secure.
Is there a security deposit?
No, there is no security deposit.
What are the cancellation policies?
If you cancel within 7 days of arrival or in case of a no-show, 100 percent of the booking amount will be charged. For cancellations outside this period, the terms and conditions of the platform on which you booked apply, or contact Daisy.
2. ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
What time can I check in?
Check-in is possible from 4:00 PM onwards. If you have an early flight and would like to arrive earlier, please contact us, and we will see what is possible.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is at the latest 10:00 AM. If your flight is late in the evening and you would like a late check-out, please contact Daisy about the possibilities. A late check-out costs €125.
How does key pickup work?
Two days before arrival, you will receive an email with check-in instructions. You can independently check in using a door code. Nice and easy after a long flight. The keys and information brochure will be waiting for you inside.
Is there parking available?
Yes, the villa has its own gated parking lot with space for 2 cars.
3. HOUSE RULES
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no. Pets are not allowed in the villa.
Are parties or events permitted?
No, parties and events are not allowed. Casa Luz Color is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, and we ask everyone to respect this.
Can additional guests visit?
Overnight stays are only permitted for guests registered at the time of booking, with a maximum of 6 people. If you would like to receive visitors during the day or invite extra guests, that's fine.
Is the villa suitable for guests with disabilities?
Feel free to contact us via WhatsApp with your specific requests, and we will see what is possible.
4. COSTS & CONSUMPTION
Are water and electricity included?
Yes, water and electricity are included in the price for normal usage. There is a guideline of 45 kWh per day for electricity and 1 cubic meter per day for water. With normal usage, such as running the air conditioning at night at a comfortable temperature of 24-25 degrees Celsius and taking regular showers, you will stay within these limits.
What are the charges for additional consumption?
If these limits are exceeded, any extra consumption will be charged after check-out: $0.55 USD per additional kWh of electricity and $9 USD per additional cubic meter of water. Meter readings are taken upon arrival and departure to ensure transparency. Leaving the air conditioning running at a low temperature for extended periods or taking multiple long showers per day are the most common causes of exceeding these limits.
Are there any cleaning fees?
Yes, the final cleaning costs $200 USD. These fees are not included in the total price for bookings made through Airbnb and Vrbo and will be charged separately after check-out. For bookings made through Booking.com or this site, these fees are already included.
What if I stay longer than 9 nights?
For stays of more than 9 nights, an intermediate cleaning and linen change are mandatory. This is standard practice in Curaçao and ensures you always have fresh linens. The cleaning takes place midway through your stay and costs $90 USD/€75. For stays longer than 14 nights, there are 2 mandatory cleanings. During this service, beds are made, towels and linens are replaced, and bathrooms and floors are refreshed. The cost for the intermediate cleaning will be charged after check-out.
5. SURROUNDINGS & EXTRA SERVICES
Can I rent a car through Daisy?
No, but she can recommend reliable rental companies:
Can Daisy arrange groceries for my arrival?
Yes, through Daisy's grocery service, the fridge will be stocked when you arrive. Share your requests via WhatsApp, and she will take care of it for you.
Is the neighborhood safe?
Jan Thiel Oost is one of the quietest and safest residential neighborhoods in Curaçao. The villa is located on a cul-de-sac and has its own gated parking area. There are security cameras, and security patrols regularly drive through the neighborhood.
